Our Purpose
Our purpose is to assist in feeding the human population. By 2050, it is expected that 10 billion people will inhabit our planet Earth, and this population growth necessitates the production of 70% more food to feed this population, which has to be done sustainably. At the same time, we face threats of antibiotic resistance and unsustainable farming practices.
Antibiotic-free feed or reduced usage of antibiotics in feed and health solutions are becoming increasingly important because of the potential risks associated with the overuse of antibiotics. By 2050 it is estimated that approximately 10 million deaths in humans could be induced by “superbugs,” which are strains of bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi that are resistant to most antibiotics and other associated forms of antimicrobial resistance, corresponding to the annual global death toll of cancer.
Nutriment derives its name from the Latin word "Nutrimentum," which refers to any material substance ingested by a living creature that assists in sustaining its existence by fostering growth, replacing lost nutrients and supplying energy.
